The opportunityThis is an important senior finance leadership role at an exciting time for Hexagon.
Reporting to the Finance & IT Director and as a key member of our Leadership Team, you will lead our Finance function and play a central role in maintaining Hexagon's financial resilience and supporting the delivery of our corporate strategy.
You will have responsibility for financial management, business planning, long-term financial modelling, treasury, statutory accounts, regulatory compliance, and financial controls. You will provide high-quality financial insight and analysis to colleagues across the organisation, as well as preparing and presenting reports to senior leadership.
You will lead a team comprising two Senior Accountants, a Team Leader and the Rent & Service Charge Manager, creating a high-performing finance function that provides an effective, professional and customer-focused service across Hexagon.
This is a role where you will be expected not only to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial information, but also to use your expertise to identify risks and opportunities, challenge assumptions and help shape strategic decision-making.
About youYou will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience.
You will bring:
- Strong experience of forecasting and long-term financial modelling.
- Experience of ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance.
- A strong understanding of treasury, funding and financial planning.
- Experience of leading statutory accounts and regulatory reporting.
- A track record of improving finance systems, processes and controls.
- Strong leadership skills and experience of developing and motivating teams.
- Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills, with the confidence to work with colleagues at all levels and challenge constructively when required.
- Positive “can do” attitude with commitment to providing excellent service to colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.
Experience of working within social housing or another regulated environment would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in candidates who can demonstrate the breadth of financial leadership experience required to succeed in the role.
