CASS Oversight & Operations Analyst | England | Sponsorship

You will play a key role in maintaining the firm's client asset management framework under FCA CASS rules, with scope to formally assume SMF
16 (Compliance Oversight) responsibilities subject to regulatory approval., Operations & Settlements

• Monitor trade settlement instructions and cash movements
• Manage settlement cycles and resolve failing trades
• Liaise with custodians, counter parties, and market infrastructures
• Maintain accurate booking of trades, positions, and cash balances
• Review client money and custody reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve breaks and shortfalls promptly
• Improve internal systems to meet best financial standards
• Ensure segregation and safeguarding practices

• Ensure compliance with CASS requirements in daily operations
• Monitor CASS processes, controls, and risk areas
• Identify, assess, and escalation breaches or control weaknesses
• Maintain CASS documentation, policies, and resolution pack
  Governance & Regulatory Interaction
  • Work closely with senior management on compliance matters
  • Contribute to control framework improvements
  • Support regulatory queries and audits
  • Degree in Finance, Business, or related field (2:1 or equivalent)
  • 2-5 years' experience in operations, settlements, custody, or CASS environment
  • Solid understanding of CASS rules and client asset protection
  • Experience with reconciliations and post-trade processes
  • Hands-on experience with Euroclear and/or SWIFT (MT54x messages) highly desirable
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify issues and exercise independent judgment
  • High integrity, ownership, and accountability
  • Interest in assuming SMF
