Opportunity

Hamilton Lane is seeking an Analyst to join our Infrastructure & Real Assets Investment Team in London. This role offers broad exposure to infrastructure investing across minority direct investments, co‑investments, secondaries, and primary fund commitments, while providing the opportunity to work alongside experienced investment professionals and leading infrastructure sponsors. The Analyst will support deal teams across the investment process, contribute to the evaluation and monitoring of investment opportunities, and assist with client and industry‑related projects under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of the investment process, including due diligence, financial analysis, production of investment committee materials, structuring, negotiations, and support the Associates with closing activities across minority direct, co‑investment, secondary, and primary fund investments.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance detailed transaction models, returns analyses, sensitivities, and distribution waterfalls.
  • Conduct market, sector, company, and fund‑level research to support investment underwriting and portfolio monitoring.
  • Use approved AI tools to support research, document analysis, and workflow improvement; critically review outputs for accuracy and apply independent professional judgment before using or sharing them.
  • Assist with the preparation of investment memoranda, presentations, diligence materials, and other internal and external communications.
  • Manage day‑to‑day analytical work streams and coordinate information requests with investment sponsors, counter parties, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to special projects, including client analyses, industry research, and geographic studies, as needed.
  • Develop knowledge of infrastructure sectors and investment strategies, including data centers, digital infrastructure, renewables, utilities, transportation, and other essential infrastructure assets.
Qualifications
  • Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, transaction services, consulting, or a commercial role in a relevant infrastructure industry.
  • Candidates with other directly relevant investment experience will also be considered.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, including the ability to build and review transaction models and distribution waterfalls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and an ability to identify and communicate key investment considerations.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and proactively seek the information and resources needed to complete assignments effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced investment environment.
