Join us as an Assistant Vice President within our Sustainable Project Finance, this sits within Investment Banking, within an established franchise in growth mode, focused on delivering innovative financing solutions across the infrastructure and energy ecosystem. The team structures complex non- and limited-recourse financing transactions, supporting clients throughout the transaction lifecycle from origination and credit assessment through to execution and closing, whilst collaborating with colleagues on refinancing opportunities and strategic financing solutions.
You will support a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and energy transactions, working closely with senior team members, clients, advisors, financial institutions, credit colleagues, and internal stakeholders. You will contribute to the evaluation of project risks, financial analysis, transaction structuring, and execution activities within a dynamic front-office environment.
The role will provide exposure to a broad range of live transactions, offering opportunities to develop expertise across financial modelling, credit analysis, transaction structuring, due diligence, approval processes, and deal execution. You will work alongside an experienced and highly collaborative team while building a strong foundation in infrastructure, energy, and sustainable finance markets.
Essential skills required:- Relevant experience within Project Finance, Energy Finance, Infrastructure Finance, Infrastructure Advisory, Leveraged Finance, or a related financing environment with exposure to cash flow-based lending transactions.
- Strong financial modelling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Experience supporting the assessment, structuring, and execution of financing transactions.
- Good understanding of project finance principles and non-recourse financing structures.
- Knowledge of project risks, construction risks, risk allocation frameworks, financing mitigants, and due diligence processes.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and competing priorities whilst delivering high-quality outputs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across transaction teams and stakeholder groups.
- Knowledge of UK and European infrastructure, energy, renewable energy, or broader sustainable finance markets.
- Exposure to transaction execution activities, including financial analysis, credit assessment, due diligence, and documentation processes.
- Understanding of the transaction lifecycle from origination and credit analysis through to execution and closing.
- Awareness of capital market refinancing solutions and financing structures.
- High levels of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
This role is based in London.

Purpose of the roleTo raise capital and manage the financial risk of clients, including financial advisory services, identification and origination of market opportunities, research, economic analysis.

- Development and maintenance of complex financial models to assess the value of assets, companies, or securities and identify the most appropriate structuring of capital raising initiatives, including equity financing via an initial public offerings, investment grade debt underwriting, leveraged financing solutions for non-investment grade clients, or derivative hedging solutions..
- Collaboration with Coverage, M&A, Syndicate, Global Markets, and cross functional teams to ensure successful origination, company due diligence, and execution of various capital market transactions..
- Identification, assessment, and management of risks associated with capital markets transactions and development of risk mitigation strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements..
- Research, financial data analysis and continued development of market insights and investment recommendations..
- To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
