PER ANNUMRECRUITER: | Andrew Wilson VAT Compliance Manager City of London Permanent 75,000 cer Financial are working alongside an Accounting firm, who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a VAT Compliance Manager to work with them on a permanent basis. The responsibilities of the VAT Compliance Manager will include:

Review and improve client onboarding processes.

Identify opportunities to upsell compliance and advisory services.

Coordinate with compliance teams to manage tax authority enquiries, including logging, risk assessment, and timely responses.

Monitor profitability of tax authority enquiries and recommend appropriate fees.

Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports to support technical development and competency growth.

Support junior team members during client calls and provide constructive feedback.

Attend prospective client meetings and prepare fee proposals for compliance and advisory work.

Help junior team members meet filing deadlines and track upcoming obligations.

Review VAT returns across 30+ jurisdictions and provide feedback to improve quality, efficiency, and risk management.

Create and maintain VAT workings templates and update EU VAT compliance packs in line with legislative changes.

Prepare written advisory reports on UK, EU, and global VAT/GST matters.

Participate in client calls to scope and address advisory requirements.

The successful candidate will have:

Extensive knowledge of VAT compliance requirements across the EU.Strong understanding of the EU VAT Directive and relevant domestic VAT legislation.
