Head of Financial Control & Reporting Liverpool City Centre | Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days Home) | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract £74,000 Accountable Recruitment have been exclusively engaged to support a highly respected Liverpool-based organisation in the appointment of a Head of Financial Control & Reporting on a 12-month fixed-term contract . This is a confidential opportunity within a complex and evolving organisation, offering significant exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.

The Opportunity Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, this role will take ownership of the organisation's financial reporting framework, control environment and governance processes, while helping to shape the future direction of the finance function.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packs Oversee statutory accounts, year-end processes Manage treasury, cashflow, tax and investment activities Ensuring robust financial controls, policies and procedures are embedded across the organisation Overseeing external audit activity and acting as the key contact for auditors and advisors Providing insight and analysis to support senior leadership decision-making Managing liquidity, cash management and financial forecasting activities Reviewing and enhancing finance processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and compliance Supporting strategic projects, organisational change initiatives and systems improvements Leading, coaching and developing a capable and collaborative finance team Partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders to improve financial awareness and accountability Monitoring financial risk and ensuring appropriate governance measures are in place Supporting the production of budgets, forecasts and longer-term financial plans Acting as a senior finance representative across a range of internal groups and projects
