Management Accountant

Our client is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our finance team within a growing subscription-based business.

This is a key role within the finance function, responsible for delivering accurate and timely management information, supporting month-end reporting and providing financial insight to help the business make informed commercial decisions. Working in a business with recurring subscription revenue, the successful candidate will have a good understanding of revenue recognition, deferred income, billing cycles and the importance of maintaining accurate financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring all reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals are completed accurately.
• Manage and reconcile subscription revenue, including recurring income, upgrades, cancellations, refunds and credits.
• Monitor and report on deferred and accrued revenue, ensuring revenue is recognised correctly in line with accounting principles.
• Analyse monthly recurring revenue (MRR), annual recurring revenue (ARR), customer churn and revenue trends.
