Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Officer to join the ‘Specialist Non-Bank Financial Institutions (“NBFI”)’ team, which forms part of the broader Financial Institutions (“FI”) Credit Risk team.
In Credit Risk we're here to support our business partners in achieving their goals, whilst managing credit risk and protecting the bank from any losses. In the broader FI Credit team, we work with clients you’ll likely to already know ranging from insurance companies to banks, to pension funds and governments.
** Job Description
** In this role, your focus will be primarily split between the Diversified Financials and Specialist Finance portfolios, which are composed of Central Counter parties (CCPs), Brokers, Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and Non-Bank Specialist Lenders (including mortgage lenders, consumer credit lenders, SME lenders etc.). You will prepare new business and annual credit reviews & present these submissions to sanctioning officials for approval.  

You’ll also get the opportunity to lead credit due diligence calls with clients, shape deal structures and inform credit risk appetite.

Attention to detail is a key skill needed to excel in this role, but any training gaps will be provided with the full support & guidance of the current team.

** So who are you?
** Well ideally you would have:
* A robust understanding of the credit risk assessment of Financial Institutions or Large Corporate clients.
* Is also desirable an understanding of Securitised Products
** structures** (ABS, RMBS, etc.) and related credit risk drivers.
* Sound knowledge of
** rating agency methodologies
** and their application in
** transactions.
*** Proficiency in credit analysis including cash flow modelling, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
* Prior experience at a Bank and/or Rating agency desired.
* Awareness of
** macroeconomic factors
** impacting asset performance and credit risk.
* Exceptional organisation skills with the ability to juggle multiple requests, prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, as well as having the confidence to flag when you might need help;
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
* A committed team player with the ability to build & manage positive internal colleague relationships outside of the team.
