Management Accountant

The Role:

New City College have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join their

Finance Team based at our Hackney Campus on 1-year Fixed Term contract.

Reporting to the Head of Management Accounts, you will provide the College with timely and accurate financial information, accounting expertise and promote high standards of financial control within the College. You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Management Accounts in in the delivery of monthly budget meetings, management accounts, cashflow analysis and the annual budget planning process for the college group.

We are looking for a newly qualified or finalist accountant (CIPFA, ICA,ACCA or CIMA) but as a minimum, you should be AAT qualified or CIPFA, ICA, ACCA or CIMA part qualified,with practical experience of management accounting. You will be able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, have a high level of written and oral communication skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial information.

The ability to communicate effectively with non-financial managers and project staff will be a key criterion for this role.
