Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded FP&A Advisor to play a pivotal role in evaluating, challenging and shaping major investment decisions across a global organisation.

This position sits at the heart of investment governance, capital allocation and business growth. Working closely with executive stakeholders, operational leaders and project teams, you will provide independent financial challenge and assurance across a broad portfolio of strategic investments.

The role combines sophisticated financial analysis with commercial thinking. You’ll need to understand not only the numbers, but also how investments drive operational improvement, supply chain efficiency, growth and long-term shareholder value.

Candidates who have gained experience in private equity-backed businesses, investment-intensive environments, corporate development functions or large-scale capital programmes will be particularly well suited.

• Review, challenge and assure significant investment cases across the business.
• Evaluate capital investment opportunities, acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives.
• Assess and interpret economic models, business cases and value creation assumptions.
• Provide executives and senior leadership teams with clear, balanced and decision-ready recommendations.
• Monitor investment pipelines and capital deployment across the organisation.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of investment governance frameworks.
• Partner with project, operational and finance teams to ensure investment cases are robust, transparent and compliant.
• Develop insight around ROI, EBITDA impact, NPV, payback and broader value creation measures.
• Contribute to the design and rollout of capital allocation processes and investment reporting frameworks.
• Support stakeholder capability building through coaching and guidance on investment appraisal standards.

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 10+ years’ experience within FP&A, commercial finance, investment analysis, corporate finance or similar disciplines.
• Strong financial modelling, forecasting and investment appraisal expertise.
• Experience evaluating Capex projects and complex investment cases.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for value creation.
• Knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, operational or industrial environments would be advantageous.
• Experience with in private equity-backed businesses or PE-style value creation environments highly desirable.
• Ability to influence senior executives and challenge constructively when required.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across global organisations.
• Self-starter mentality with the capability to operate independently whilst building effective partnerships.
