We are working with an established international bank that is looking to appoint a Relationship Support Officer to support its Relationship and Branch Management teams in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone in the early stages of their banking career who has gained experience within relationship support, branch banking, credit, client services or banking operations and is looking to develop their exposure across commercial and SME banking.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Relationship and Branch Managers with the day-to-day management and servicing of client relationships.
- Act as a point of contact for customers, handling queries and ensuring requests are dealt with efficiently.
- Assist with client onboarding, account opening and ongoing KYC/AML and Customer Due Diligence requirements.
- Support the preparation and processing of credit proposals and associated documentation.
- Assist with financial information, facility documentation, account monitoring and credit administration.
- Coordinate with Credit, Operations, Compliance and other internal departments to progress customer requests.
- Maintain accurate client and facility information across internal banking systems.
- Support account maintenance, documentation reviews and general branch operations.
- Assist with management information and reporting where required.
Experience & Skills
- Approximately 2+ years' experience within banking or financial services, ideally within a bank.
- Experience in one or more of relationship support, branch banking, credit, client services, KYC/AML or banking operations.
- Knowledge of Islamic Finance is ideal.
- Good understanding of banking processes and customer service.
- Exposure to credit proposals, financial analysis or commercial/SME banking would be advantageous.
- Understanding of KYC, AML and Customer Due Diligence requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence dealing directly with customers.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
