Join us as a Barclays Private Banker, you will have an exciting opportunity to be part of the team that offers bespoke banking and investment solutions to charities, not for profits, foundations and endowments. In your new role, you will be acting as trusted advisor to clients and prospects providing bespoke banking and lending services, in addition to a world class range of investment solutions and products across all asset classes.
Specifically, you will be managing and handling the needs of charities, not-for-profits, foundations and endowments in the UK and CD’s, as well as supporting an existing established Charities and Not-for-Profits Team in our Private Bank with all client and prospect matters.
- Relationship management and experience of managing and handling the needs of charities, not for profits, foundations and endowments and/or private client individuals and families in the UK
- Demonstrable experience of understanding of clients’ needs and advising on a diverse range of private banking solutions
- RDR level four qualified (or equivalent)
- Have an interest in all matters related to investments, ESG and sustainability
- Excellent market exposure and multi-disciplined private banking experience
- Business development skills
- Strong analytical skills and investment knowledge

This role is located in London.
This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
Purpose of the roleDeliver exceptional sales and business performance by acquiring, developing and maintaining highly proactive, long term client relationships. Protect Barclays reputation through sound risk decisions by managing client group within their risk profile and appropriate regulatory framework.
Accountabilities- Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients - identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs.
- Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in their portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client / prospect queries and requests and identifying opportunities that will deliver long term commercial reward.
- Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk.
- Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards Service/group relationships - referrals to group colleagues.
- To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. Set objectives and coach employees in pursuit of those objectives, appraisal of performance relative to objectives and determination of reward outcomes
