You will contribute to mergers and acquisitions, capital raises and other strategic transactions by delivering financial analysis, valuation work, financial modelling, company and industry research, due diligence support and client materials.
As part of an integrated, global and sector-led M&A platform, you will work with colleagues across Standard Chartered’s international network and gain exposure to complex cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities Support senior team members in the origination and execution of M&A transactions.
Build and refine financial models, including discounted cash flow and leveraged buyout analyses, to support transaction assessment and execution.
Conduct financial, valuation and company analysis across different operating scenarios and transaction structures.
Prepare client presentations covering strategic options, market positioning, M&A opportunities and broader capital markets activity.
Conduct company, country and industry research, including benchmarking and competitive analysis across relevant Clean Tech & Environment subsectors.
Support due diligence processes and the preparation of marketing and transaction documentation.
Coordinate transaction work streams and engagement with internal teams, clients and external advisers.
Work with colleagues across the Bank’s global M&A network to support transaction delivery.
Qualifications Relevant M&A experience gained in either a sell-side or buy-side environment.
Sector exposure across power, utilities, infrastructure or clean technology, including renewables and energy storage, conventional power generation, transmission and distribution, waste management, water, energy efficiency, e-mobility or the circular economy.
Experience supporting transactions through financial modelling, valuation, research, due diligence and the preparation of client-facing and transaction materials.
Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple work streams.
Project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in English.
Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Knowledge of an additional European language is advantageous.
Familiarity with Bloomberg, LSEG, S&P Capital IQ or Mergermarket is considered a plus.
CFA qualification is preferred.
