Location: London (Hybrid working - minimum two days per week in the office)
Our client, a leading UK actuarial and consulting firm, is looking to appoint a Pensions Actuarial Associate Consultant to join its established Defined Benefit pensions team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a broad range of pension schemes, from smaller arrangements through to multi-billion-pound funds, providing actuarial advice to trustees and sponsoring employers. You'll gain exposure to a wide variety of technical and client-facing work while developing your consulting skills within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The role
As a Pensions Actuarial Associate Consultant, you will work across a diverse client portfolio, supporting the delivery of high-quality actuarial advice and consulting services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing actuarial valuations for funding, solvency, Section 179 and pension risk management exercises.
- Supporting pension risk transfer and buy-in feasibility projects where appropriate.
- Attending client meetings and presenting analysis and recommendations.
- Managing and reviewing work completed by junior team members.
- Performing and checking individual member calculations, including transfer values and pension benefits.
