We are working with a leading global financial institution on hiring in their London based Leveraged Finance Credit team.

This is a senior credit risk position with responsibility for the assessment, approval and ongoing management of leveraged finance exposures across the EMEA business.

Please note: candidates must have direct Leveraged Finance Credit Risk experience gained within a bank. Applications without this specific experience will not be considered.

• Provide senior credit oversight across a portfolio of Leveraged Finance exposures
• Assess and approve new transactions, with delegated credit authority and responsibility for making recommendations to senior management
• Act as a senior credit partner to relationship management, origination and distribution teams
• Provide challenge and guidance on complex transactions, identifying potential risks and breaches of risk appetite
• Contribute to credit strategy, risk appetite and portfolio management
• Provide direction and oversight to credit professionals within the team
• Represent the credit function at senior internal forums across EMEA and globally

• Proven Leveraged Finance Credit Risk experience
• Experience gained within a banking environment, ideally a Tier 1 financial institution
• Strong credit assessment and risk management capabilities
• Deep knowledge of leveraged finance products and credit risk principles
• Experience managing complex credit decisions and senior stakeholder relationships
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements relating to credit
• Excellent judgement, communication and decision-making skills
