We’re partnering with a highly successful £50m marketing agency to appoint a commercially minded Finance Director to lead the finance function and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Finance Director to take ownership of the finance function within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial agency environment. The role will combine financial leadership, commercial decision-making, strategic planning and operational finance, working closely with the CEO and wider senior leadership team. The role will suit a Head of Finance stepping up or a Finance Director with sub 2 years' experience in the role.

The successful candidate will be a confident finance leader who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, providing the commercial insight and financial discipline needed to support the next stage of growth.

As Finance Director, you will take overall responsibility for the finance function and act as a key strategic partner to the leadership team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking overall ownership of the finance function
  , ensuring robust financial control, reporting and governance.
• Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to drive commercial performance and profitable growth

• Leading the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes.
• Producing and presenting monthly management accounts, board reporting and performance analysis.
• Monitoring revenue, gross margin, utilisation, project profitability, WIP and other key agency KPIs.
• Partnering with commercial and operational leaders to improve profitability, pricing and financial performance

• Providing financial input into new business opportunities, pitches, client contracts and major commercial decisions.
• Improving visibility around project and client-level profitability and helping the business understand its key value drivers.
• Managing cash flow, working capital and the wider financial health of the business.
• Ensuring strong financial controls, processes and reporting infrastructure are maintained as the business continues to scale.
• Leading and developing the existing finance team, creating a high-performing and commercially focused function.
• Working with external accountants, auditors, tax advisers and other professional advisers as required.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and automation across the finance function.
• Supporting the leadership team with strategic projects, investment decisions and potential M&A activity
