Hitchin, UK Job Type: Full-time We are seeking an experienced Treasury Accountant to join our clients growing global Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys managing global cash operations, improving financial processes, and partnering with business leaders to support strategic decision-making. Day-to-day of the role:
Manage global treasury operations, including cash positioning, banking activities, cash movements, and intercompany settlements. Prepare weekly and monthly reporting on global cash flow, working capital, DSO, DPO, Cash Conversion Cycle, KPIs, and other financial metrics for executive leadership. Monitor worldwide cash balances and provide recommendations to optimise liquidity and working capital. Lead treasury improvement initiatives, including banking enhancements, automated payment processing, and bank reconciliation automation.

Maintain strong financial controls over global payment processes and support standardized treasury procedures across the organisation. Prepare treasury journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules while ensuring reconciling items are resolved promptly. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Manage banking relationships, account administration, and global intercompany receivables and payables. Prepare reporting on worldwide intercompany balances to support cash flow planning and financial accuracy.

Develop and improve financial reporting, accounting processes, and automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls. Perform financial analysis and prepare ad hoc reports that support informed business decisions. Partner with Operations, Project Managers, and the Accounts Receivable team to provide financial guidance and support business performance. Assist with internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company policies.

Support special projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance organisation. Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with treasury or cash management responsibilities preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.

Experience with Net Suite or SAP is highly desirable.

Experience with treasury management, banking operations, cash forecasting, or working capital management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment.
