Building on the global success of Paddington, STUDIOCANAL is scaling its franchise model through three new labels: STUDIOCANAL Stories, focused on adapting literary hits for film and TV; STUDIOCANAL Kids & Family, dedicated to building children’s entertainment franchises, and STUDIOCANAL ON STAGE, specialising in adapting films for live theatre.

The Financial Controller Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Financial controller TV Series and Head of Production Finance across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, production finance, and analysis activities. The role offers exposure to a wide range of finance operations within a dynamic production environment.

• Support the preparation and delivery of monthly financial reporting packages, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Assist with data collection and preparation of the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercises.
• Assist with audit activities, including the preparation of supporting documentation and responding to audit queries.
• Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the Finance team as required.
• Support the financial close, wind-down, and transition activities for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), ensuring completion of all associated financial and statutory requirements.
• Assist with the preparation, calculation, and reconciliation of tax credit claims.
• Support the preparation and review of development reporting, including the tracking and analysis of development expenditure.
• Perform production finance analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of project greenlight approvals, including preparation of supporting financial information.
• Gather, compile, and assist in analysing of production budget data to support benchmarking exercises and facilitate informed decision-making across productions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, production, and business teams to ensure the timely delivery of financial information and analysis.

• You are fluent in English.
• You have previous experience in audit or controlling, ideally within the industry.
• You graduated in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• You have a good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.
• You are proactive, organised and eager to learn.
• You are able to work in autonomy.
• You have a passion for films and TV shows.
