Financial & Tax Accountant

£60,000 to £70,000 plus Benefits Leicestershire, East Midlands  Option for part-time is available  ABPM is supporting a fast-paced retail business to recruit a hands-on and commercially minded hybrid knowledge set Accountant. This is an exciting, senior opportunity to take ownership of the accounting, tax, compliance and financial management of a private family's wealth and investment affairs. Working closely with senior leadership, you will focus on personal taxation, family investment companies, pensions, property, and international assets - offering real autonomy, variety, and influence in a trusted, high-profile advisory role.

In summary, what you will be doing is… Manage the family's UK and international personal tax affairs, ensuring full compliance. Oversee accounts, tax returns, and compliance for investment, property, and rental entities. Coordinate external advisers, including accountants, tax specialists, and auditors, ensuring value for money and timely delivery. Monitor pension and investment portfolios, assessing performance, costs, and return-enhancement opportunities. Oversee the property portfolio, managing performance, compliance, costs, and income optimisation.

Support inheritance tax, succession, and wealth planning activities, including the assessment of new investment opportunities. Confidently manage and challenge external advisers when appropriate. Highly organised, with strong financial analysis and investment appraisal capabilities. Who will you be… ACA, ACCA, CTA qualified (or equivalent experience). Background in private client, family office, HNW, or owner-managed business environments. Strong UK tax and accounting knowledge across personal, corporate, and property matters.
