6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Salary: £32-34k pro rata'd Join a Growing and Purpose-Driven Organisation We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a supportive and collaborative finance team on a part-time, 6-month fixed-term contract .
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or finance administration who is looking to broaden their experience across a varied finance function while benefiting from flexible hybrid working.
The Role As Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation, helping to ensure accurate record-keeping, strong financial controls, and excellent service to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently Support both accounts payable and accounts receivable activities Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records Assist with month-end and year-end finance processes Support the preparation of financial reports and reporting schedules Maintain data integrity across finance systems Respond to finance-related queries from colleagues and stakeholders Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls Work closely with the wider finance team to ensure efficient financial operations About You To succeed in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Finance Assistant, or Finance Administration role A sound understanding of basic accounting principles and finance processes Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Experience using finance systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal A proactive approach and willingness to learn The ability to build positive working relationships across the business Desirable Studying towards an AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification What's on Offer?
