Full Time | £26,000–£32,000 Northallerton Onsite This opportunity would suit someone with previous financial services experience and a strong customer service or administration background who enjoys speaking with clients and handling enquiries. You do not necessarily need previous experience within financial advice. Experience gained elsewhere in financial services, including banking, could work well. What is particularly important is that you are confident on the phone, communicate well and are comfortable dealing directly with customers or clients.

If you enjoy keeping things organised, speaking with clients, liaising with providers and making sure clients receive an excellent service, this could be a very good opportunity. This is a varied role where you will play an important part in supporting the delivery of the advice service. You will be involved in new business processing, keeping client records up to date, handling letters of authority, working with providers and third parties, and helping ensure Financial Planners have everything they need to support clients effectively.

The role also involves maintaining accurate records, supporting pipeline progression, assisting with meeting preparation and helping deliver a high standard of service across the business. The Role Working as a Client Engagement Administrator, you will support Financial Planners, Personal Assistants and Paraplanners with the administration involved in delivering the advice service. This is a broad and hands on role with plenty of communication with clients, providers and other third parties, so it would particularly suit someone who enjoys speaking with people rather than working solely in a back-office capacity.

Responsibilities will include taking ownership of the new business application process, processing new business within agreed service levels, working with providers and other third parties, handling letters of authority and transfer authorities, issuing documentation, maintaining accurate records on internal systems, assisting with pipeline updates and helping ensure planners are fully prepared for client meetings. You will also deal with telephone queries, support the management of incoming and outgoing post when required, help resolve outstanding issues, and look for ways to improve processes and client outcomes.

Previous financial services experience is important, but this does not have to come from a financial advice business.

Experience with in banking or another financial-services environment could be a good fit, particularly if you are accustomed to dealing with customers, processes and providers. You will need to be genuinely confident on the phone and comfortable speaking with clients and handling enquiries. A strong customer service or administration background, good organisational skills and clear communication will be important, alongside the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Experience with industry systems or back office systems would be helpful, although training can be provided where needed.
