Are you an organised and detail-oriented finance professional looking to develop your career in local government?
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our Finance Team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial services across the Council. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and gain experience across a broad range of financial activities.
As a Finance Officer, you will provide a resilient, efficient and customer-focused payments, income, sundry debtors, and cash receipting service to the Council. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, providing advice and guidance on financial processes and helping to ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practice.
The successful candidate will have strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
About You- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be confident working with systems and spreadsheets.
- Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Be able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
