Investment Analyst

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join our London team. This is a full-time role at the core of our investment process, with a particular focus on fundamentals research, idea generation and security selection across credit, convertible and equity-linked instruments.

Andromeda is a global investment management firm focused on alpha generation in fixed income and credit, with a top-down, research-driven and contrarian approach that combines macro analysis with deep dives into corporate fundamentals. As an Analyst, you will work directly with our investment and risk teams to research investment themes, develop and defend trade ideas, and manage risks through the life of the trade.

You will cover names and sectors end to end — from macro context and credit fundamentals through to valuation and relative value across a company’s capital structure.

• In-depth knowledge of credit products, macroeconomics and global markets
• Direct involvement in the investment process and in making investment recommendations
• Insight into long-term strategic planning within a hedge fund context and a thorough understanding of hedge fund operations

• Conduct top-down macro and bottom-up fundamental research to generate and support investment ideas
• Analyse company fundamentals, capital structure, documentation and valuation to form a view on relative value between a company’s bonds, convertibles and equity
• Take ownership of trade recommendations: monitor existing positions, earnings and catalysts, flagging changes to the thesis and implications for sizing and exit
• Use data and AI-based tools where they add leverage to the research process, helping make our workflows faster and more repeatable

• Deep interest in investment and macroeconomics, as well as strong eagerness to learn and grow within the hedge fund industry
• Demonstrated ability to research a company, sector or market and form an independent, well-reasoned view
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to distil a complex situation into a clear recommendation
• A degree in a relevant discipline (economics, finance, engineering, statistics, mathematics, sciences or similar), or equivalent practical experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A motivated self-starter who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Experience with equity research, convertible bonds or other equity-linked and hybrid instruments would be a plus
