Finance Officer

Location: South East London

Finance & Accounts Officer £35-40K (DOE) Lancaster (Great Links to the M6) Are you an experienced finance professional who enjoys having variety in your day? Are you looking for a finance role with variety, responsibility and plenty of scope to get involved? I am working with a reputable organisation in Lancaster who is looking for a Finance & Accounts Officer to join their busy finance team in a role that goes well beyond traditional accounts administration.

It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, is naturally organised and wants a role where no two days are quite the same. What will you be doing? Supporting the day-to-day running of the finance function Looking after banking and treasury activities, including cash balances and payments Assisting with VAT returns and other finance deadlines Supporting payroll administration Managing records and key dates relating to leases and insurance Assisting with month-end and general finance activities Liaising with banks, insurers, suppliers and other external contacts Maintaining accurate financial and company records Helping improve processes and keeping the finance function organised Providing support to the Finance Manager / Financial Controller across a variety of areas What we're looking for You don't need to be a fully qualified accountant.

We're looking for someone with solid all-round finance experience who is comfortable working across different areas of an accounts function. You'll ideally be:
Organised and highly accurate Comfortable managing multiple priorities Confident dealing with confidential information Good with Excel and finance systems A strong communicator Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be asked Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Why consider the role?
