Reinsurance Analyst

A leading specialist insurance and reinsurance business is looking for a Ceded Reinsurance Finance Analyst to join its London-based finance team. The role will support the full post-placement ceded reinsurance process, covering financial transactions, reconciliations, claims, reporting and regulatory requirements. This would suit someone with insurance finance/accounting experience who has a good understanding of reinsurance and strong analytical skills.

• Manage and review ceded reinsurance contract data, including analysing treaty terms, key dates, clauses and limitations.
• Calculate and report ceded reinsurance claims and reinstatement premiums in line with contractual terms.
• Reconcile reinsurance model data against the finance ledger, investigate discrepancies and manage cash allocation and aged debt.
• Support financial and regulatory reporting, including reinsurance reserves, financial controls, audits and Solvency II-related returns.

• Experience in insurance finance or accounting, ideally with a focus on reinsurance.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical and investigative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good understanding of financial models, complex processes and the downstream financial impact of reinsurance activity.
• Strong Excel skills, with familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements such as Solvency II preferred.
