We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Commercial Finance Manager to join a growing financial consultancy working with businesses across a diverse range of sectors.
This is not a traditional accounting or corporate finance position.
You will work directly with business owners, directors and senior decision-makers to understand their commercial objectives, assess their funding requirements and help develop appropriate commercial finance strategies.
The position combines financial analysis, relationship management, business development and commercial problem-solving. It would particularly suit someone who enjoys understanding how businesses operate and finding practical funding solutions to support their growth.
What You'll Be DoingYou will manage commercial finance enquiries from initial discussion through to completion, including:
Holding consultations with business owners and directors to understand their funding requirements.
Reviewing company financial information, management accounts, cash-flow forecasts and business plans.
Assessing the commercial viability of potential funding requirements.
Helping businesses understand the different commercial funding structures potentially available to them.
Preparing professional funding proposals and supporting documentation.
Presenting suitable cases to lenders and commercial finance providers.
Managing relationships with banks, specialist lenders and other finance providers.
Comparing commercial terms, repayment structures and funding conditions.
Coordinating applications and responding to lender information requests.
Managing multiple cases through the funding process.
Maintaining accurate records of client discussions and documentation.
Developing long-term relationships with clients and professional introducers.
Identifying opportunities to support existing clients with future commercial requirements.

Supporting established businesses seeking capital for expansion, acquisitions, equipment, recruitment or general business investment.
Asset Finance
Helping businesses explore funding structures for vehicles, machinery, technology and other commercial assets.
Invoice & Working Capital Finance
Working with businesses seeking to strengthen cash flow or release working capital against outstanding invoices.
Commercial Property Finance
Supporting appropriate commercial property and business premises funding enquiries.
Development & Bridging Finance
Assisting with commercially appropriate short-term and development-related funding requirements.
We are interested in candidates with experience within commercial finance, banking, lending, business finance, financial consultancy or a closely related environment.
You should be comfortable discussing financial matters with senior business professionals and capable of translating complex information into clear commercial discussions.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:
Experience analysing business financial information.
Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
Confidence speaking with company directors and business owners.
An understanding of commercial lending and credit considerations.
Strong numerical and analytical ability.
A certification in Compliance and Accountancy
Good organisational and case-management skills.
Professional written communication.
