We are looking for a UK-qualified solicitor with previous law-firm experience in Banking & Finance, Financial Services or a related practice, with strong experience in loan documentation and lending transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Review and negotiate bilateral and syndicated loan documentation, including LMA agreements, guarantees and security documents.
- Review Conditions Precedent and ensure documentation aligns with approved credit terms.
- Assess security, enforce ability, perfection and legal/structural risks.
- Work closely with Credit Risk, Front Office and external legal counsel.
- Support distressed, underperforming and defaulted loans, including workouts and recoveries.
- Maintain accurate legal and credit documentation.
- Previous recent experience working in a law firm - essential.
- 5-7 years' relevant experience, ideally post-qualification.
- Strong Banking & Finance / lending background.
- Excellent knowledge of LMA documentation and syndicated lending.
- Understanding of UK corporate law and security perfection.
- Strong analytical, commercial and stakeholder-management skills.
Candidates must be UK-qualified solicitors with prior law-firm experience to be considered.
