Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a newly established, well-funded FCA-regulated consumer finance business in London.

Backed by a major NYSE-listed organisation and significant international investment, the business is embarking on a long-term growth strategy and is building its finance, operational and technology infrastructure from the ground up.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a broad and influential role with responsibility for establishing a robust finance function, developing controls and reporting, and supporting the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics.

• Lead monthly management accounts, financial reporting and month-end processes.
• Oversee P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and financial controls.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, modelling and KPI reporting.
• Support FCA and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Establish strong controls around cash, payments and balance-sheet integrity.
• Manage audit, tax and external adviser relationships.
• Support the implementation and development of Microsoft Dynamics.
• Improve finance processes, automation and management information.
• Work closely with the CEO, senior management, Risk, Compliance and international stakeholders.

We are seeking a commercially minded, hands-on finance professional who enjoys building rather than simply maintaining an existing function.

You are likely to have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Significant post-qualified financial services experience.
• Strong experience in consumer finance, lending, fintech, banking or payments.
• Experience operating in an FCA-regulated environment.
• Strong financial control, reporting and FP&A experience.
• Experience implementing or developing an ERP/finance system;
  Microsoft Dynamics would be highly advantageous.
• Ideally, experience within a start-up, scale-up or newly established business.
• The confidence to operate autonomously and engage with senior stakeholders.
