Interim Financial Planning Manager | Heritage Charity | £69k | FTC until May 2027 - Temp to Perm | 3 days PW in Central London (hybrid) | Full time

This Financial Planning Manager role is an opportunity to join a high-profile heritage charity on a fixed-term basis until May 2027. Sitting within the wider finance team, the role will act as a Finance Business Partner across a number of non-trading directorates, supporting senior stakeholders with budgeting, forecasting and financial decision-making.

Alongside business partnering, you will support major projects within the organisation's Central Investment Programme, improving financial reporting and providing greater visibility over third-party funding and project cash flows. You will also lead the year-end close across your directorates and manage two Finance Analysts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial analysis support across Corporate Services, People & Culture, Conservation, Curatorial & Learning, the CEO Office and other non-trading areas.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes across the directorates you support.
  • Support major projects within the Central Investment Programme.
  • Improve financial reporting and management of third-party funding across live projects.
  • Provide greater visibility and control over project cash flows.
  • Lead the financial year-end close process for the relevant directorates.
  • Manage and support two Finance Analysts.
Person Specification
  • Fully qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Confident managing budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes.
  • Experience supporting projects and providing clear financial reporting and analysis.
  • Previous management experience is highly desirable.
  • Proactive and comfortable working autonomously with senior stakeholders.
  • Quick learner with the ability to pick up new areas of the organisation quickly.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a well-known heritage organisation and take ownership of a varied portfolio combining business partnering, financial planning and major project support.

The role is paying £69,000, is based in Central London with three days per week in the office, and is looking for someone to start mid-September.
