Advising the EMEA business on client due diligence (CDD) and know-your-customer (KYC)

for all types of client. Acting as subject matter expert on identity verification, beneficial ownership, and source of funds/wealth checks. Conducting pre and post sale reviews of auction and private sales clients, completing client risk assessments and conducting enhanced due diligence where appropriate. Screening clients for PEP and Sanctions status using commercial screening tools, escalating matches appropriately, and suggesting enhancements to screening methodology.

Assisting with preparation of AML business risk assessments and routine regulator filings. Assisting with drafting and updating internal guidance documents, FAQs, and workflow charts for business users. Actively seeking opportunities to embed processes and increase awareness. Assisting with preparation and delivery of internal compliance training sessions (e.g.

AML, sanctions, suspicious activity reporting) and ensuring appropriate training records are kept. Participation in testing, rollout, and refinement of compliance-related systems (such as screening tools, case management platforms, and digital client onboarding portals) and compliance content within Christie’s CRM system. Preparing data and documentation for internal audits, compliance reviews and other projects. Assisting with regulatory inspections and responses to ad hoc law enforcement requests.

Supporting internal investigations relating to potential breaches or suspicious activity, and preparing disclosures (e.g. suspicious activity reports) for review Assisting in the monitoring of regulatory developments concerning financial and trade sanctions and new AML legislation. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, and generally helping to foster a strong culture of compliance, ethics, and professional conduct throughout the business by acting as a point of contact for frontline teams and championing best practices.
