About Us

We are not your run-of-the-mill bank.

Founded in 1922, Alpha Bank London combines the heritage and stability of a long-established financial institution with the ambition and agility of a growing organisation. As an independently regulated UK bank within the Alpha Bank Group, we provide specialist banking services to personal and corporate customers in the UK and internationally.

This is an exciting period of growth and transformation for the Bank. Alongside our established business, we are developing a new digital retail banking proposition focused on serving the Greek, Cypriot and wider diaspora communities across the UK. Backed by a strong Board, supportive shareholders and an ambitious strategy, we are investing in our future and looking for talented individuals to help shape it

What You'll Do

As an Assistant Relationship Manager in Real Estate Finance, you’ll get hands-on experience of how a bank supports clients investing in and financing real estate.

Working alongside experienced Relationship Managers, you’ll learn about the full lending journey, from reviewing new opportunities and understanding a client’s business, through to helping prepare credit proposals and supporting loans once they are in place.

This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in banking, real estate finance, credit and client relationship management, while working with colleagues across the Bank.

You will:

  • Help prepare credit applications for new and existing Real Estate Finance clients.
  • Learn how to review financial information, property valuations and credit information to support lending decisions.
  • Support annual reviews of existing clients and lending facilities, including financial analysis, credit ratings and pricing calculations.
  • Work with Relationship Managers to help progress new lending opportunities from initial discussion through to completion.
  • Support the onboarding of new clients, learning about Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and financial crime requirements.
  • Help gather and review client information and documentation, ensuring records are complete and accurate.
  • Support day-to-day client requests and help investigate queries or account issues.
  • Assist with reporting, client audits, questionnaires and other team activities.
  • Work with colleagues across areas such as Credit, Financial Crime and Operations, giving you exposure to different parts of the Bank.
  • Get involved in team projects and wider initiatives within Real Estate Finance.
  • Develop your commercial awareness and understanding of the UK real estate and banking sectors.
  • Build relationships with clients and colleagues while delivering a professional and responsive service.
