Cards Senior Product Manager

Join us as a Senior Product Manager - Cards & Payments and make a real impact by helping ambitious businesses and individuals achieve their goals through our award-winning human digital banking model.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a key area of our banking proposition, helping us develop and improve how customers make and receive payments.

You'll combine hands-on payments expertise with product ownership, working across our payment schemes, cards proposition and Open Banking capabilities. From improving customer journeys to working with key suppliers and delivering strategic change, you'll have the scope to identify opportunities and turn them into practical improvements.

You'll also play a key role in delivering initiatives including debit card modernisation and straight-through payments
, with genuine ownership for driving activity forward.

You will enjoy hybrid working, with 3 days in our London office and 2 days from home

• Deliver key change initiatives, including debit card modernisation and improvements to straight-through payments.

• Use payment and operational data to understand volumes, performance and customer journeys, identifying opportunities to improve the experience for customers.

• Partner with payment schemes, processors and other third-party suppliers, using service and performance insight to drive effective outcomes.

• Work closely with Financial Crime, Operations, Technology, Risk and Compliance to improve payment processes while maintaining appropriate controls.

• Identify issues and opportunities across the payments journey and translate them into clear, practical solutions.

• Contribute to the continued development of our Open Banking, cards and wider payments capabilities.

• Strong, hands-on payments experience within a banking environment
  , with a good understanding of the UK payments landscape.

• Practical knowledge of major payment schemes and rails, ideally including Faster Payments, Bacs and CHAPS
  .

• Knowledge of cards
  , which could include physical or digital cards, tokenisation and experience working with Visa or Mastercard
  .

• An understanding of Open Banking and the wider direction of payments.

• Experience working with payment processors, schemes, technology providers or other third-party suppliers.

• An understanding of the regulatory, compliance and financial crime considerations associated with payments and cards.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to take ownership and confidently drive activity forward.
