SEND Tribunal Support Officer
Initial 3–6 month interim contract
North London Local Authority
£180 per day Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working (2 days p/week on site)
CVs are being reviewed immediately, and interviews will be taking place week commencing 19th Jan 2026, with a view to start early-mid Feb 2026.
Baltimore Consulting are currently partnered with a North London Local Authority to appoint a SEND Tribunal Support Officer on an interim basis. You will support and work closely with SEN Mediation and Tribunal Officers, helping to manage casework relating to SEN disagreements, mediation requests, and SEND Tribunal appeals.
Your Role as SEND Tribunal Support Officer:
- Support the registration, tracking, and administration of SENDIST appeals.
- Ensure all tribunal documentation and deadlines are managed in accordance with legal requirements.
- Provide timely administrative support to Tribunal Officers.
- Liaise effectively with internal services, external agencies, and families.
- Maintain accurate records and case tracking systems.
- Be prepared to potentially support with Bundle Preparation; requesting, collating, indexing, and filing extensive electronic and paper evidence and documentation to create comprehensive tribunal bundles within strict statutory deadlines.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, policy changes, and Tribunal procedures, and share updates with relevant staff.

- Previous experience in a SEND or legal admin role (within a Local Authority).
- Understanding of the SENDIST appeal process is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Confidence in handling sensitive information and working with complex documentation.
- References covering the last 3 years of employment must be available upon request.
