Interim Communications & Engagement Lead £575pd

Rate: Up to £575 per day

Location: Hybrid (London, Bristol, York, or Newcastle)

Client: Central Government

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior communications professional to support a high-profile government programme, within a major UK department.

You’ll lead the development and delivery of strategic communication and stakeholder engagement activity, advising senior leaders and translating complex policy into clear, impactful messaging.

• Designing and delivering impactful communication and engagement strategies
• Acting as a trusted advisor to Directors and senior stakeholders
• Providing editorial oversight and quality assurance
• Line managing a team and managing priorities/budgets
• Leading proactive stakeholder engagement across government and external partners

Requirements:

• Strong strategic communications background
• Confident influencing at senior level
• Experience handling policy or technical content
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with in major public sector or central government environments
