Financial Investigator – NTFIU – Police Staff – CTP London
Salary£40,519 (includes £3,009 allowance). Base salary is £37,510, increasing annually to a top of £40,141. Additional allowances: £2,009 location allowance and £1,000 non‑pensionable allowance.
LocationWest Brompton – E‑Mrs‑presso State Building, 36 hours per week, Permanent contract.
Job SummaryThe National Terrorist Financial Investigation Unit (NTFIU) investigates complex fraud, money laundering and offences under sections 15‑18 of the Terrorism Act 2000. Investigations run from inception to prosecution, confiscation or forfeiture of funds. The unit also supports wider Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations by completing financial strategies, profiles and enquiries. Work involves proactive and reactive policing methods, collaboration with HM Government agencies, the financial sector, and other CT stakeholders.
KeyTasks
- Conduct and support counter‑terrorism financial investigations.
- Assess and develop intelligence.
- Operate both independently and as part of a broad team.
- Engage with external partners to represent the NTFIU.
- Liaise with partners across the CT network.
Applicants will provide examples of each competency/value (1,600 characters including spaces). Competencies include:

VettingRequires British nationality (certain dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. Access to sensitive information may result in travel restrictions and extended security checks.
