This is a rarely available opportunity to take up the role of NPCC Operations Manager within the NCA Intelligence Collection department. The post is a highly sensitive, dynamic role that involves managing a team of police staff and officers who provide intelligence collection services to Police operations across England & Wales. You will work at a fixed office location in Stratford, London, with regular travel around the Eastern Region and wider areas to deliver training and support to a variety of resources.
Key Responsibilities• Manage and lead a team of police staff and officers in the delivery of intelligence collection.
• Ensure accurate collection, assessment and dissemination of intelligence to support Serious and Organised Crime operations, including the Sensitive Intelligence Network.
• Provide operational risk management and ensure critical intelligence is handled with appropriate safeguards.
• Deliver training to resources and support the development of capability within the team.
Qualifications and Attributes- Experience in the management of intelligence and/or a sound operational background in SOC work.
- Knowledge of intelligence‑related applications and authority levels.
- Background in partnership working.
- Proven leadership with strong communication skills.
- IPP qualification or commitment to achieve the same within 12 months (Intelligence Manager).
- Experience as a Product Handler for Targeted Intercept material or in issues relating to TI, with briefing from the NCA/SIU regarding S.57 IPA safeguarding measures.
Monday to Friday 08:00hrs – 16:00hrs.
One week of on‑call covering weekends (approximately one in six working weekends). An allowance will be paid for on‑call duties.
Vetting RequirementsApplicants must hold or be prepared to undergo Management Vetting (5‑year residency criteria) and Security Clearance (5‑year residency criteria) or Development Vetting before taking up the post.
