Hybrid – 3 Days in the Office

About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Solutions Officer to join a busy Housing Register Team within a Local Authority in West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing professional to manage Housing Register applications, provide high-quality housing advice, and ensure statutory duties are met in accordance with housing legislation.

Key Responsibilities
Assess Housing Register applications under Part VI of the Housing Act.
Make statutory decisions in line with the Council's Housing Allocation Scheme.
Provide accurate housing advice to applicants by telephone, email and face-to-face.
Manage Housing Register casework, ensuring applications are processed efficiently and accurately.
Respond to customer enquiries and shared inbox correspondence.
Support statutory reviews and assist with complex housing cases.
Prepare case files and supporting documentation for reviews and legal matters.
Liaise with internal departments, solicitors and external agencies where required.
Maintain accurate records using housing management systems.
Deliver excellent customer service while managing a busy and varied caseload.

Essential Requirements
Minimum of 3 years' experience working within a Housing Solutions or Housing Register Team.
Previous Local Authority experience is essential.
Strong knowledge of Part VI of the Housing Act and Housing Register processes.
Experience assessing Housing Register applications and making statutory decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience using housing management systems and Microsoft Office.
