Responsibilities- Support the day-to-day management of the Licensing Processing Team
- Provide technical oversight and supervision to Licensing Technical Officers
- Oversee the processing and issuing of HMO and Selective Licensing applications
- Provide technical advice to officers, landlords, managing agents, tenants and residents
- Monitor workloads, performance and service standards across the team
- Support continuous improvement, system development and process efficiencies
- Ensure licensing applications are processed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required
- Experience processing housing licensing applications, including HMO and Selective Licensing
- Experience supervising staff or supporting teams within a regulatory, housing or local authority environment
- Strong knowledge of housing licensing legislation and regulatory processes
- Excellent organisational skills and experience managing competing priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage complex or sensitive enquiries
- Experience using licensing systems, databases and digital platforms
- Relevant housing, regulatory or public administration qualifications or equivalent experience are essential
