Policy Support and Engagement Officer (FTC)
The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) is seeking a motivated and politically aware Policy Support and Engagement Officerto support the Victims' Commissioner for London.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to improving outcomes for victims of crime by supporting policy development, research, communications and stakeholder engagement. You will help ensure victims' voices are reflected in decision-making across London's criminal justice system, working on key areas including Violence Against Women and Girls, Modern Slavery and access to justice.
In this varied role, you will undertake policy research, monitor emerging issues, analyse reports and prepare briefings to support the Victims' Commissioner and Policy Advisors. You will support press, communications and social media activity, draft reports, correspondence, newsletters and presentations, and coordinate engagement activities including stakeholder meetings, consultation events and focus groups. You will build effective relationships with a wide range of partners, including the Mayor's Office, GLA, Metropolitan Police Service, justice agencies, voluntary sector organisations and victims of crime.
We are looking for someone with strong research, writing and organisational skills, who can manage competing priorities and communicate confidently with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will have experience of producing high-quality written materials, supporting projects or policy work, and developing effective partnerships.
