Immediate Start Available Senior Environmental Health & Enforcement Officer Required We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Environmental Health & Enforcement Officer to join a busy Local Authority Health & Safety Enforcement Team based in Wembley. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Environmental Health professional seeking a long-term temporary assignment with flexible and hybrid working arrangements. Working as part of a proactive and supportive team, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of health and safety enforcement activities, undertaking both reactive and proactive interventions across a range of commercial premises within the borough.

Key Responsibilities Conduct health and safety inspections and interventions. Investigate health and safety complaints and accidents. Manage and investigate RIDDOR notifications. Undertake enforcement action where necessary in accordance with relevant legislation. Provide professional advice and guidance to businesses and stakeholders. Prepare reports, notices, witness statements and legal documentation. Maintain accurate records and case management systems. Work independently whilst contributing effectively to team objectives.

Essential Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: A recognised professional qualification relevant to health and safety enforcement, such as:
Diploma in Environmental Health BSc/MSc in Environmental Health NEBOSH qualification Registration with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) . Current experience working in Health & Safety Enforcement within a Local Authority or similar regulatory environment. Strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and enforcement procedures. Experience investigating:
Health & Safety complaints Workplace accidents RIDDOR notifications Formal enforcement action Excellent communication, report writing and case management skills. Full UK Driving Licence.
