Dog Groomer/Stylist

Pay: £15 per hour (+ annual training budget - see below)

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Job Type: Full time

Pawpadour is a small, independent dog and cat grooming salon with a loyal client base and a genuine reputation for exceptional work. We're not a high-volume factory-line groomer - we're a calm, crate-free salon where quality, skill and animal welfare come first. If you're a groomer who takes real pride in your finishing work and wants to keep growing your craft, this is a salon where that's noticed and rewarded.

We specialise in Teddy Bear trims, Asian Fusion styling, breed standard grooming, hand scissoring, creative styling, deshedding treatments, cat grooming, and ultrasonic teeth cleaning - so you'll be working across a genuinely varied and interesting client base, not the same three cuts on repeat.

We're looking for an experienced Dog Groomer / Stylist to join our team across our Tooting and Morden salons. You'll groom independently, bring strong handling skills, and consistently produce high-quality work - around 4 to 5 dogs per day, with the time to do it properly rather than being rushed.

We back experienced groomers with ongoing in-house training and support too, so you'll keep developing your skills rather than standing still.

• Groom 4 to 5 dogs per day to a consistently high standard
• Carry out full grooms including bathing, drying, clipping, hand scissoring, nail trimming and ear cleaning
• Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic working environment
• Work independently and manage your daily schedule efficiently
• Welcome clients, discuss grooming requirements and provide professional advice
• Book appointments, process payments and manage customer enquiries
• Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service
• Work as part of a friendly team while being confident working alone when required

• Ability to complete high-quality grooms independently
• Excellent scissoring and finishing skills
• Good knowledge of breed trims and coat types
• Calm, patient and kind approach to animal handling
• Friendly, confident and professional when speaking with clients
• Comfortable using booking systems and taking payments
• Reliable, organised and able to work efficiently throughout the day
• Passion for learning and developing your grooming skills

• £15 per hour
• £500 annual training budget - put towards courses, workshops or specialist certifications of your choice, so you keep building your skillset on us
• Employee mentoring programme
• A friendly, welcoming and supportive team - not a revolving door
• A relaxed, crate-free salon environment
• Work with a huge variety of breeds and grooming styles
• A salon that values quality over quantity and genuinely backs continuous learning
• Real opportunity to build a loyal client base and grow your reputation with us

Applicants must live within a 45-minute commute of one of our salons (Tooting or Morden). Applications outside this range unfortunately cannot be progressed.

• Which of our salons (Tooting or Morden ) would you prefer, or are you open to either?
• How long would your typical commute to the salon be?

If you're passionate about grooming, take real pride in your finishing work, and want to join a salon that invests in its team as much as its clients, we'd love to hear from you.
