Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Locum Paediatric Early Years Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of young children with speech, language, and communication needs within early years settings.
What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role?
As a Band 6/7 Locum Paediatric Early Years Speech and Language Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive assessment and therapy services to children aged 2-5 years, working in both clinic and nursery environments. You will also provide support and training to families and other professionals involved in the care of these children. The role demands excellent skills in diagnosing and treating a range of speech, language, and communication difficulties, including those with complex needs.
You will work across two key locations, offering flexible support tailored to the individual needs of your caseload.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience in paediatric early years speech and language therapy
- Proven ability to manage a caseload of young children with diverse needs
- Skills in providing assessment and therapy for speech, language, and communication difficulties
- Experience in working within early years settings, including clinics and nurseries
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver training and support to families and professionals
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work across multiple locations
