Key Responsibilities
Assessment and intervention:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments and deliver tailored therapy programmes.
Collaborative working:
Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to embed communication strategies across the school day.
Training and support:
Provide training, modelling, and guidance to staff to promote communication‑friendly environments.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records, write reports, and contribute to EHCP reviews.
Family engagement:
Liaise with parents and carers to support communication development at home.
About You
Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration.
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school‑based experience desirable but not essential).
Strong understanding of AAC, social communication approaches, and evidence‑based interventions.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
Passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional needs
