Advanced Cardiac Cath Lab Radiographer – Band 7

Overview

Due to service expansion, Cardiac Imaging at Bart’s Heart and Thorax Centre (BHTC) are currently seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Advanced Cardiac Cath Lab Radiographer who is looking for the opportunity to join a friendly, hard‑working, ambitious and highly skilled team of Radiographers within the largest Cardiovascular Centre in Europe.

The department boasts a wealth of state‑of‑the‑art equipment, with eleven Cardiac Catheter Labs and endovascular theatre, three dedicated Cardiac MRI scanners and a dedicated photon‑counting Cardiac CT scanner, and are networking and expanding our services across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cover cases in complex coronary intervention, structural heart intervention, electrophysiology and pacing, and cases in the cardiothoracic theatre.
  • Potential progression to Cardiac CT and Cardiac CMR.
  • Lead and coordinate the day‑to‑day running of the department and deputise for the Modality Lead Radiographers and the Operational Lead Radiographers in their absence.
Working Pattern

4 × 9.5‑hour shifts per week, with the flexibility to request a specific day off each week. Optional weekend lists on the staff bank. BHTC runs a popular lucrative on‑call system to cover out‑of‑hours Heart Attack and Arrhythmia services.
