About the Role This role is supporting young people across the North East with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs .
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll provide structure, care, and encouragement within a warm, family-style environment. Your day-to-day will include:
Supporting young people with their education Planning and taking part in fun, meaningful activities during the week Building strong, trusting relationships that help young people grow in confidence and independence Ensure a safe, nurturing and empowering environment in line with children's safeguarding and care standards Work Collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate records and follow care plans Managing challenging behaviours using calm, therapeutic approaches Every interaction matters.

Level 4 and Level 5 Residential Childcare diplomas Holiday entitlement Who We're Looking For We're looking for people who are compassionate patient and of a caring nature and want to build a long-term career in childcare. You'll be a great fit if you have:
At least 12 months paid UK experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviours A full UK driving licence Honesty, empathy, and strong values Resilience and confidence in managing challenging situations Strong communication skills Flexibility for 12-hour shifts days, nights and weekends Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) If you don't yet hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare , we'll support you to gain Level 4 and 5 qualifications while you work.
