Overview
We are excited to offer a full‑time position of Speech and Language Therapist in our new Autism and Social Communication Assessment pathway, based at Edgware Hospital in Barnet.
Responsibilities- Assess children aged 0‑7 for possible autism using the ADOS and other appropriate assessment tools.
- Liaise with MDT members to determine the correct outcome for the child.
- Give families feedback about the assessment outcome.
- Write high‑quality clinical reports.
- Work collaboratively with paediatricians, occupational therapists, psychologists, dieticians, physiotherapists, allied health professionals, and parents.
- Provide a needs‑led, family‑centred approach to assessment and diagnosis.
- Demonstrated experience in autism assessment and diagnosis in children 0‑7.
- ADOS‑2 trained.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary neuro‑developmental assessment clinics.
- Ability to work effectively and flexibly within an interdisciplinary and multi‑agency environment.
