Clinical Scientist – Radiation Safety and Diagnostic Radiology Physics
Barts Health NHS Trust is a high‑performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation and committed to providing safe, compassionate care across the eight hospitals in east London.
Our hospitals are equipped with a wide range of radiological imaging equipment, including modern digital radiography, fluoroscopy units, interventional radiology and cardiac angiography suites, spectral CT scanners, mammography units and dental imaging facilities.
The post‑holder will contribute to many aspects of the department’s work, such as testing of radiation and imaging equipment, data handling and analysis, support for research trials, audits and software development.
The Radiation Safety Section provides radiation safety and physics support to users of ionising radiation at a time of rapid development in digital imaging technology, artificial intelligence and expanding clinical applications of radiation.
As a member of this friendly group of physicists and technologists, you will gain experience across the spectrum of our work and make contributions to testing of radiation and imaging equipment, data handling and analysis, audits and software development.
Requirements: BSc (Hons) degree or equivalent in physics (or a major physics component) and HCPC registration as a clinical scientist.
