Housekeeping Assistants play an integral role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the care home. Working as part of a small domestic team, you will ensure residents live in a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment.

• Clean all areas of the care home to a high standard in line with schedules and guidelines
• Respect confidentiality of residents’ personal information, ensuring dignity and privacy
• Comply with statutory and legal requirements (Health & Safety, COSHH, Health & Social Care Act)
• Maintain awareness of infection control practices
• Ensure equipment is in safe working order and report faults promptly
• Check and maintain housekeeping supplies, reporting shortages to management
• Spot clean spillages immediately and use initiative to maintain cleanliness
• Actively contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and a supportive work environment

• Friendly, hard-working, and reliable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in care home settings is an advantage
• Must be able to work on a 3-on/3-off rolling rota
