The Role All stores are designed to be more than a sterile optician—an intimate, beautiful and cosy place to spend time and ensure an amazing customer experience. The goal is to create a true lifestyle experience, encouraging customers to visit stores to catch up with friends, relax and grab a coffee while shopping for glasses.

Inside the eye test room

• Deliver an outstanding optometrist experience following the Optometrist Ceremony.
• Understand patients’ needs and ensure the highest quality eye examinations to achieve the best outcomes.
• Guarantee technical excellence and quality of patient care.
• Accurately obtain spectacle prescriptions and recommend the best spectacle lens treatments based on patients’ visual needs, usage and environment.
• Educate patients about their eye health and their prescription.
• Provide guidance to varifocal users and explain how to care for Jimmy Fairly specs.
• Adhere to general data protection regulations.

Outside the eye test room

• In charge of ongoing optics training for the store team.
• Actively support the team on the shop floor with customers and promote eye test bookings.
• Check spectacle orders and assist with collections.

• Fully qualified to practice in the respective area of the position.
• Excited to work in a fast-paced environment and grow within a self-starter role with potential.
• Ability to make patients at ease, ensuring high-quality eye examinations and thorough health checks.
• Strong patient rapport to encourage return visits and referrals to Jimmy Fairly.
• Motivated and adaptable to changing environments while maintaining exceptional patient care.
• Team player with strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work 3 days/week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday).
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
