Pharmacy Dispenser

Asa Pharmacy Dispenser, you will be an integral part of our pharmacy team,ensuring that medications are dispensed accurately and efficiently. You willwork closely with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and the CWP trust teamto support effective treatment and enhance patient care across the Cheshire & Wirral region

• Accurately dispense medications and other pharmaceutical products in accordance with prescriptions and hospital protocols.
• Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and managing pharmaceutical inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff, including addressing queries and providing medication-related information.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and hospital guidelines in all dispensing activities.
• Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medications and manage patient information with confidentiality.
• Support the pharmacy team with additional administrative tasks and operational duties as needed.

Fairview Health is a rapidly expanding organisation dedicated to providing safe, efficient access to medicines across NHS Trusts, Unscheduled Care, and Primary Care settings. We operate a growing network of pharmacies andWDA-licensed premises across London, Gloucester, the West Midlands, and the North of England, supporting both Community and Mental Health Trusts.

We are now strengthening our team at our on-site pharmacy based at Bowmere Hospital in Chester, where Fairview operates the dispensary responsible forsupplying medicines exclusively for Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHSFoundation Trust inpatient units and outpatient clinics.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Dispenser who is keen towork in a hospital environment, particularly within a Mental Health Trust,while being fully employed and supported by Fairview Health.

The Pharmacy Dispenser will support the delivery of asafe, accurate, and efficient dispensary service within the Fairview operated pharmacy at Bowmere Hospital. The service provides medicines exclusively for Cheshire & Wirral Partnership

NHS Foundation Trust inpatient units and outpatient clinics.

Working as part of a busy hospital based dispensary team, the postholder willbe responsible for accurately dispensing medications under the supervision of aPharmacist, ensuring all medicines are prepared in accordance with legal,clinical and Fairview standards. .

The Pharmacy Dispenser will work closely withpharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and wider clinical teams to ensure timelysupply of medicines to mental health wards and services. Strong attention todetail, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently within amultidisciplinary setting are essential.

This position offers the opportunity to work in ahospital environment within a Mental Health Trust while being fully employedand supported by Fairview Health.

• Previous experience in a dispensary environment, ideally with Dispenser responsibility.
• Experience with pharmacy IT system is advantageous.

• Level 2 NVQ in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to manage workload efficiently in a busy, service driven environment.
